Korogi Wakocha Twig-roast 2017

Yōichi Kōrogi is a leading figure in the manufacturing of kamairi-cha, but also likes to experiment. This roasted tea of black tea twigs is one of his most recent discoveries. The fruity character of the tea and the aroma of the roast result in a delightfully sweet and fruity brew.
・Origin: Gokase, Miyazaki, Japan (single estate).
・Farmer: Yōichi Kōrogi.
・Cultivar: Takachiho, Yamanami, Native, Okumidori blend.
・Harvest: July, 2017.
・Type: Black tea / Wakocha / loose leaf.
・Additional impressions: A strongly aromatic and sweet fragrance with a highly fruity character. Reminiscent of elderberry syrup. Hints of brown sugar in the aftertaste.
Successive brews: Maintains strong sweetness and aroma. Doesn't lose power at al.
