Miyazaki Kanayamidori Wakocha 2013
This is a black tea of the Kanayamidori cultivar produced in Gokase, Miyazaki. Harvest was conducted on September 8, 2013, and then aged to receive its varied and versatile flavor and aroma.
Its dry leaf is coarse and large, likely due to its late harvest in September. The color is black with bright red edges and silver-white buds, and is only kneaded minimally, maintaining a voluminous shape. After brewing its wet leaf produces a scarlet red color with faint green hue, and in its liquor it produces a yellow sirupy brown color.
