Kumamoto Koshun Organic Oolong 2018
The Koshun cultivar is primarily renowned for its distinct aroma which is best expressed when slightly withered or oxidised during manufacturing and is therefore considered as a varietal, best suited to the production of Oolong types of tea.
Its tea has a distinctly deep and full-bodied character, with, in the drinker’s nose, both a suspicion of citrus and a slightly flowery yet predominantly sour tickle. The milky savour of infusions from leaf of this species demonstrates an easygoing depth, accompanied by a satisfying freshness. As imbibing such an infusion also has a warming effect on the body, this tea has an especial appeal for young women.
